Distance Education

This Distance Education dataset provides the most up-to-date data on students enrolled in online education. It includes data from more than 4,000 Title IV-compliant, degree-granting institutions. These data include enrollment data by count and rate for undergraduate and graduate students in online education, as well identifying information on the colleges including sector, Carnegie Classifications, and state. It also includes aggregated data by state and sector to allow you to see averages within your region. With these data, you’ll have more information about the state of staff in the country.

What you’ll learn:

• How your school compares to others in its state and/or peer group in distance education enrollment.
• How many students are enrolled in distance education in the same state as the institution they are enrolled in, versus out-of-state or outside-of-US enrollment.
• Which schools in your state or peer group are increasing their online enrollment.
