    What payment methods do you accept?

    We accept credit cards and checks.  If you would like to pay by check or be invoiced, please contact us at help@chronicle.com or 202-466-1032.  Payment is required before products are shipped.


    Do you charge taxes?

    We do not charge taxes on any store product.


    Do you offer international shipping?

    Yes, we ship internationally.  If you experience any trouble placing an order from outside of the United States, please contact us at 1-202-466-1032 or help@chronicle.com.


    How are orders shipped?

    Orders are shipped through DHL.  We do not currently offer expedited shipping. Please allow 10-12 business days for items to arrive.  If you need a product immediately, please consider purchasing the digital version, which allows for instant access.


    How can I track my order?

    When the package ships, an order tracking link will be sent automatically to the email address you provided with your shipping information.  If you do not receive your order within 10-12 business days, please contact us.  If your order required reshipment, you must contact us at help@chronicle.com to obtain the tracking information.  


    How can I change or cancel my order?

    Please call us at 202-466-1032.  If your order has not been processed, we will make every effort to adjust or cancel the order accordingly.  If the order has been processed, we cannot make any changes.


    What is your return policy?

    We do not offer refunds, nor do we accept returns.  Please refer to our User Agreement.  If your order arrives damaged, please email us at help@chronicle.com with pictures of the damaged product and packaging.  We will process a reshipment upon review.


    How do I download my digital product file?

    Once you purchase a digital product, you will be able to download the PDF from the order confirmation page, and you will receive an email with download links.  Please note that digital files can be downloaded a maximum of one time.


    Can I place a bulk order for an item?

    Yes.  For group purchases of fewer than 100 copies, please refer to our bulk pricing.  Contact bulkorders@chronicle.com for more information.


    Can I license an article, report, or photo?

    Digital licensing is an option for those institutions and organizations that wish to purchase Chronicle reports and guides in order to make them available campus-wide.  Use this form to request a quote or receive more information.


    Can I purchase the digital format of a report and share it with others? Can I put it behind a paywall?

    All store items are intended for individual use only, per our user agreement.  However, if you would like to share a digital item with a group or put it behind a paywall, please use this form to request a quote.

    Can I get a sample of an item before purchasing?

    We can provide a table of contents or executive summary for specific products.  Please contact us at help@chronicle.com if you are interested in getting a sample of a particular product. 


    Digital Reports Bundle


    What products are included in the report bundle? How many will I receive? 

    The report bundle includes digital copies of all Chronicle reports and collections published in a 12-month period, beginning with reports released during your month of purchase.

    Each month, you’ll receive an email that includes new reports and collections attached in a .zip file.

    For example, if you purchase the March 2024 report bundle, you will receive all reports and article collections released in March 2024, plus all subsequent reports and article collections released through the end of February 2025 (the end of your 12-month term). 

    Buyers purchasing the April 2024 bundle will receive all reports and collections from April 2024 through March 2025.

    Typically, The Chronicle publishes five or six in-depth reports, five or six issue briefs, and five article collections in a given year. 

    Bundle buyers will receive digital copies of about 15 products in total over the course of their 12-month terms — all at the deeply discounted rate of $999 for one year. 

    After your term ends, you may renew your bundle to receive another 12 months of reports and collections.


    How much will I save with the bundle compared to purchasing each report a la carte?

    Buying the bundle ensures that you will save more than 20%. If purchased separately, the reports and article collections included in a typical 12-month bundle would cost more than $1,275 combined.

    By purchasing the reports bundle at $999 for a 12-month term, you’ll save more than $275.


    Which reports will I receive?

    Our reports and article collections are designed to help you stay ahead of emerging trends and navigate new challenges on your campus. Planned topics can change throughout the year in response to significant news or important shifts in the higher-ed landscape.

    As a result, we cannot specify exactly which reports and collections will be published during your 12-month term — our lineup may change as new issues arise.

    However, you can expect to receive a selection of products that is similar to what we’ve published in past years. Popular reports and collections from 2023 included College as a Public Good, Surviving as a Small College, Restructuring a University, Advancing Women’s Leadership in Higher Education, and Big Bot on Campus: The Perils and Potential of ChatGPT and Other AI.


    May I share my bundled reports for others to read?

    No. Bundled reports are intended for individual use only, per our user agreement, and include standard copyright restrictions.


    How will the reports in my bundle be delivered?

    Each month, you’ll receive an automated email that includes new reports and collections in a .zip file. Please add delivery@shopify.com to your address book to ensure you receive the notification that your new reports are available.


    What if I don’t like a certain report’s topic? May I request a replacement? If not, what is your refund policy?

    We strive to publish reports that tackle higher education’s most pressing challenges, and we hope that each one offers ideas and solutions you can use. But we recognize that every release may not suit your precise needs. 

    We hope you’ll still find important insights and enjoy significant value over the course of your 12-month term. Because we’re offering access to a year’s worth of reports at a substantial up-front discount, we do not offer replacements or refunds for partial terms.


    May I request older reports that were released before I purchased my  bundle?

    Purchase Options

    I need to purchase reports for multiple users. What are my options?

    We offer bulk discounts for customers who are interested in purchasing multiple copies of an individual report, or copies of several reports. This option is best for small groups, including a president’s cabinet, a board of trustees, or a campus committee. Refer to our bulk pricing schedule to learn more.

    Digital licensing is a good fit for electronic-resource administrators or librarians who wish to make a digital copy of a specific report available to a wider audience or an entire campus.
