Key Findings

The Chronicle surveyed more than 3,800 college and university administrators, faculty members, and staff about what it's like to work in higher education as President Donald J. Trump carries out his agenda. This dataset provides responses to our survey, cross-tabulated by kind of institution, job category, individual political ideology, race, state politics, and other factors.

Peruse the data to gain insight into: 

• How likely employees are to recommend working in their roles, their institutions, and higher ed more broadly.
• Which employees say that the Trump administration’s policies have directly affected their work, and what kinds of effects.
• What employees think about their institutions’ diversity, equity, and inclusion policies.
• Whether employees think their institutions are financially sound.
• What employees think of their college leaders' responses to new federal policies and whether they have confidence in those leaders.
