Before building the Almanac each year, we do a thorough inventory of all the tables we plan to include. While aiming for a certain level of consistency we want the data to be useful to you year over year we're also striving to refine and improve the Almanac. Within these 128 pages, you will see many familiar tables and a few revamped ones. As always, the Data Points section is a new selection of data pages from the past year of our team's exhaustive data reporting. A highlight of that section comes from the results of our survey of more than 1,000 Americans on the public perception of higher education, which paints a surprising and nuanced picture.

In the 2024-25 Almanac, after the opening Data Points, you will move through data on student characteristics, student aid and debt, work-force characteristics, work-force compensation, institutional characteristics, and institutional finance. Things wrap up with our detailed overview of the states.
